Amilo Pi1536/M1437G fan control

Postby Rayway » Sun May 23, 2010 9:11 pm

Hi, Does anyone know how to control the fan speed (make it run faster) on the above mentioned laptops? They tend to just run along at a moderate speed.
The temperatures appear ok, but the palmrest areas get very hot, making the laptops unpleasant to use.
I have installed the program "Notebook Hardware Control", but it displays "ACPI Control System is not yet configurated" in the ACPI tab.
I have installed the program "Centrino Hardware Control", but the fan control options are greyed out.

I have asked something similar on the "MXM Upgrade forum", a couple of helpful members pointed me in the direction of certain files, but didn't clarify what setup steps need to be taken.

Many thanks everybody.

Maybe this thread helps:

As far as I know there are files for the PI 1536 and M1437, but I don't have them.
You may have to assign real-time priority to NHC.

Co-incidently, a kind person on the mxm forum also pointed me to this link!
It contains a lot of useful posts and I recommend it to everyone as a good & informative read!!!

:D Thanks again.
