I'm using Win 7 about a year. But it's only because i can't install XP. And now I really need to install XP.[/quote]
In my particular situation, when I do need to install some app only XP compatible, I use the Virtual Machines solution:
- install VM software (
http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads) it's freeware & 100% trustable.
-on the VM you can install the XP or any other OS you wish, (guarantee all your hardware will work)
- once installed the XP, you can proceed installing all apps you need as if you were installing them on the amilo.
- there are a couple minor tweaks you may need to do, i.e. assign a shared folder on tne amilo disk for file exchanges, install the Guest adittions app for VM, tweak some compatibility for hardware, but nothing too complicate...
You will end up with a window on yoyr screen, with XP running inside... and the rest of your software still running on W7 at the same machine....
good luck, & post any question about
