wlan on-button is grey

Postby nfzcdy » Mon Jun 14, 2010 2:58 pm

hi

i have an amilo li 2732 (vista home 32bit). obviously I use fn+f1 to press ON for wlan and then connect to internet but recently the ON button is grey/unclickable. Ive tried to re-install the drivers for the network card, ive tried to re-install launch manager and ive tried with a cable but nothing works. I also tried this - http://www.evrim-sen.com/html/amilo-wireless-status.htm - but it didn't work as it cant switch over to ON and always remains on OFF. My warranty has expired so im hoping for a soloution on the inet :)

Best regards,
Nafiz

Hi

Did you try to uninstall Launch Manager and then install it again?

Why doesn't a cable work? (It hasn't anything to do with WLAN / Launch Manager.)

i got it to work with a cable now but doesnt work on wlan, the button is still unclickable. ive tried to re-install lanuch manager twice now but it has no affect. the problem is that in launch manager the button is grey. any more suggestions?

i cant get to bios either, when i press f2 on startup i come to some lame vista menu on how to start the comp.

Did you try to completely remove Launch Manager and then install it again? Or, if this doesn't help, you say it doesn't work "recently". Did you install any other software or change some configurations?

You have to press the button (probably F2, depends on the BIOS) very early. Vista shouldn't be able to react to that at all.
