Amilo L1300 and Windows 7

Postby jefft5 » Wed Jul 07, 2010 10:10 pm

I am runing an Amilo L1300 on Windows 7. Everything works fine, boot time around 30 - 40 seconds, no hangs or freezes, BUT I can only load the Windows default standard graphics adaptor. I have tried loading the correct Intel driver in XP SP2 mode which runs and gives me the correct 1280 x 800 resolution but each time I re-boot it goes back to Windows defaut software which only gives 1024 x 768 res.Does anyone know if there is a modified Intel driver which will run on Windows 7? Incidently, if anyone else tries this they need to discard the Gemtec Wylan and replace it with Broadcom or similar.

Unfortunately there are problems with Windows 7 and this model. In the German forum there's also a thread (http://www.amilo-forum.de/topic,28989,- ... L1300.html), but also no solution :(

Thanks Aaron, I guess I'll just have to live with the lower resolution. To be honest, as I don't use the machine for films or games, it's not really that much of a problem but it would have been nice to get it exactly right. :|
