T2050 better and cheaper than T1300

FSC sells the AMILO Pro V3205 in two configurations, which, as far as I could see, only differ in the bundled processor. Memory, HD, DVD drive, warranty... everything else is the same.

1) Intel Core Solo Prozessor T1300 (1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2 Cache)
Full spec: http://www.eshop2.de/e-base4-Comp/Comp_ ... 63E1DE.pdf

2) Intel Core Duo Prozessor T2050 (1.60 GHz, 533 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2 Cache)
Full spec: http://www.eshop2.de/e-base4-Comp/Comp_ ... 64E1DE.pdf

The only other difference in the specs concerns some installed software: T1300 comes with Norton Ghost 2003 whereas T2050 gets Norton Internet Security and Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (?). Both machines comes with Win XP Pro.

Well, the Core Duo T2050 should be better than Core Solo T1300, so you guess the T1300 spec is cheaper, right?

But that’s not the case. At least when it comes to the suggested prices (those you see in the specs):

1) 1.129,00 €
2) 999,00 €

Can anyone explain this?

Street prices are a different story, of course. It’s hard to find these machines on the market now, but the prices have been more or less the same for both, the T1300 being sometimes around 50-100 EUR cheaper.

If you're lucky, you can still find some shops selling the V3205 with T2050 for about 850-900 EUR.
