Laptop Start Up problem, Help please!!!!!

Postby BlackCitadel » Sun Oct 03, 2010 11:16 am

Hello,
My laptop is Amilo L1310G

Today when i turned it on it shows up the first logo screen which shows " Fujitsu Siemens "....
after that it hangs up at a black screen and wont start.... I discovered that i should press F1 to let go of the black screen and start....

Please what kind is this problem??
Why it happened all of a sudden and how can i make it start automatically again without pressing F1?

Hope you help.
Thanks.

Hi,

I'd try to reload the BIOS default settings, this may solve this problem.

Hello,

I found out what is the cause...

When i disabled Quiet Boot i got this message in the black screen:

SMART Failure Predicted on Hard Disk:0: WDC WD1200BEVE-00UYT0- (PM)

WARNING: Immediately back-up your data and replace your hard disk drive. A failure msy be imminent.

Press F1 to continue

So what is the problem, please?
How can it be solved?

Backup your data immediately and order a new hard disk. Your old one is going to fail...

The only reliable fix is to replace it.
