Fujitsu Amilo Li 3710 mic volume problem

Postby dragon6791 » Tue Nov 02, 2010 11:19 pm

Hi trehe folks,
wanna to ask for your gelp long time ago,but never had the time to do it.
Here is he problem: built mic on Amilo LI 3710 has a really too low volume where just couple months ago everything was fine.
Lets make it clear,it does work, but so low that other side in conversation hardly can hear me,so i decide to buy a usb web camera with built in mic which works more than great.Snaping my fingers from a decent distance can be heard, where for Amilo mic i have to lean over to the display and shout at it to be heard.
Have had tryed with reinstaling realtek HD driver, nothing,no luck.
That one i have downloaded from http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/com/suppo ... loads.html
Even with OS reinstallation...no change.
BTW OS is Win7 32 Starter.
Donno what to do.Once i was in a temptation to open the bugger and to try to replace tha mic what gives me so much a headache.
Maybe there is something wrong with mic itsellf.
Even tryed to boost mic in the audio setting but then strange noises comes into life and makes the matter worse.

Please help me on this one,
thanx in advance

It seems like the microphone capture volume is set too low. Is there a slider to increase it (might have a different name) besides the boost option? Unfortunately I can't tell you how to do that in Win7.

Hello sir,
thanx 4 reply,I am affraid that i have tried that solution.I went right click on a task bar on speaker icon (right side of the screen, next to the clock),left click Recording devices, tab Recording, double click on a microphone, which is the only one and set as a default device i get Microphone properties, tab Levels and slider for Microphone is set full right,on 100 on a scale.
Below that is Microphone boost.Even,if i set it on 30 percent, nothing much happened.
I dont get 2 things....before some time mic worked as a charm, then something happened and mic become rubbish in quality.
Second thing, when it comes to Realtek drivers,is that, when other mic is on which is on USB webcam works with perfection,so i dont have doubts in audio driver.

How to tell that mic has failed phisicly,as a hardware.
Wanna to open notebook (dont know how) and unsolder old mic and replace it with some other,a new one.
Not sure will i get any succses.

Thank you
