OS: Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit
Current RAM: 446 MB
Processor: Intel Celeron M 450 @ 2.00GHz 1.99GHz


what is the maximum amount of ram this laptop can handle?
which memory cards should i buy?

You need RAM of the type SO-DIMM DDR2 PC2-4200 (533MHz) or PC2-5300 (667MHz). Both will work, the latter will be cheaper and faster, but you'll hardly notice any difference.
According to the data sheet the maximum is 2GB (2x 1GB). Maybe 3GB (1GB + 2GB) will work too, but I'm not familiar with the chipset, so it's just a vague guess.

I have another question
Will it be able to work with upto 4mb RAM if got the Windows Vista 64 bit version
since 64-bit OS can usually handle more memory?

I did a search on our german forum and there are some threads which say that 3GB work fine, but that the BIOS will refuse to boot if 4GB are installed. So it's not an OS issue.
