Mouse, Keyboard and USB's not working on A1650G

Postby rtfm » Thu Jan 06, 2011 4:15 pm

Hi!

I'm having problems with my Amilo A1650G. Mouse + keyboard and USB ports are not working.
They are not working in BIOS neither windows. It must me the hardware problem. I also tried Knoppix livecd but same problems there.

Anyone knows how to fix it or what could cause this? Faulty Northbridge maybe?

someone seems to have exactly the same problem here, but no answer. http://forum.ts.fujitsu.com/forum/viewt ... 98&t=35625

I guess your assumption of a major hardware defect is correct. Unfortunately there's not much you can do. If you can get a cheap used (but still working) replacement main board somewhere it might be worth a try, but getting a new one isn't worth the price.

You could try what I like to call the "desperate deed", a hardware reset:
Remove main battery and power pack and hold the power button for about 30 seconds.

This sometimes eliminates undefinable problems, but I doubt that it will work in your case.
