Amilo Pro V2055 and RAM

Upgrading the laptop to have 2gb. Tried 2 x 1gb and it shows 2 x 512mb. Tried 1 x 2gb and it shows 1 x 1gb.

Any ideas anyone?

Can you try if you see more than 1GB total if you insert 1x1GB + 1x2GB?
I'm not sure but I think I remember having heard the V2055 is capable of running 2GB. But it might be a bit choosy when it comes to the chip organisation:
