windows xp pro crash

Postby hanuz » Sun Nov 12, 2006 10:56 am

I currently own a Fujitsu Siemens Laptop which was purchsed this August 2006 but since ever I got hold of the laptop I've been constantly been having a problem where the whole laptop gets blocked. Either under Windows XP Home SP2 Ed which is the the original CD or another Licensed copy of windows xp pro or windows xp mce 2005, suddenly the Operating system hangs saying it can't execute any exe file.

Error Message "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application."

I can't even do a proper shutdown. Sometimes after resuming from standby the laptop freezes completely; even restarting the laptop doesn't resolve the problem. Only solution to this is a fresh format.

With time it's becoming a real problem bearing all the work loads which I have to do.

the Laptop make: Fujitsu Siemens GmBH
Model: Amilo PI 1536 with a core solo processor 1.66 GHz.
RAM: 512 MB
Hard Drive: Seagate SATA HDD 60 GB with 3 partitions
I also checked in event viewer and each time only one error was being reported..

"Paging Error on Drive D"

I did a thorough test with hdd generator on my hdd and mo errors were detected. Even i can play games on win xp home. But when it comes to windows xp pro...bullshit

Could anyone look into the matter and let me know.

I suspect your memory modules. Run memtest86 for some hours to check that.
