Amilo m1450g can't strart

Postby bigy92 » Sat Jan 29, 2011 8:59 pm

Hi, I'm new here.

I have a problem with my m1450g. I've tried to change my RAM but I didn't remove my batery. Later I found similar topic, and it says that maybe it can't be fixed, is it true ? If it's not, how can I fix it ?
Tnx

Just to clarify:
You installed new RAM without removing the main battery and now your laptop doesn't boot? I guess it either only turns on LEDs, fan and maybe DVD drive and then shuts down or does nothing at all.

If that's true, do the following:
1. make sure to get rid of electrostatical charge (e.g. by touching a radiator or some other metal installation that is connected with metal pipes outside your house) and don't scuffle around afterwards.
2. remove main battery and power pack from the laptop, then remove the RAM modules (make sure not to touch any elecrtic conductors like the pins of the RAM modules).
3. push the power button for approximately 30 seconds.
4. reinsert the RAM modules.
5. insert battery and/or power pack and try to boot again.

I've tried all this, but nothing :( When I instaled new RAM i have been tried and it worked. Later I took that one out and I instaled the original RAM of my Amilo after that it won't start. Sorry if my English is bad I hope you can understand it !
Is there anything else if I can try ? I forget to told you that LEDs, HD, DVD drive turns and shut down twice :S
