Pi 1505 Wireless switch (and case)

Postby RobBlack » Tue Feb 08, 2011 12:14 pm

In the first instance, I’m looking for a Pi 1505 service manual, and I’d be grateful if anyone could tell me how I might get my hands on a copy (pdf, word document, etc.).

Secondly - to my main problem:

I’ve just managed to break the Wireless switch on my Pi 1505, and I’m looking to fix it. Needless to say, the physically switched status of the card is off (sods law), and I would like to gain access to the card in order to switch on the Wireless at the card itself and, hopefully, repair or replace the switch on the case.

I’d like to open the case but, through my efforts to date, I’ve only managed to free up about half of the snap fasteners and I’m extremely nervous about popping the rest in case I cause even more damage.

If anyone’s had a poke around in this area (exposing the wireless card and the switch on the case), I’d be extremely grateful for any pointers you might be able to offer.

TIA

Me too has the same problem.
I solved it by buying a Linksys Dual-Band Wireless-N Express Card modelno. WEC600N.
Works even better than the internal wifi.
Just put it at the right in the free Express Card entry.

An other case is the missing manual, the service manual. We bought the product but are entitled for the manual too when we needed.
It seems a secret but should not be.
Therefore I ask for the service manual too.
Now I have a password problem with the BIOS entry.
Someone send me a code but was not able to try it yet. But there are also other issues for needing this type of manual.
Who is able to get or has the manual and will make it downloadable ?
