I read about Core Duo that has the same socket as Pentium M, 479. Can I go for an upgrade from P-M 735 1,7 Ghz to Core 2 Duo? I heard that even if they have the same socket they're incompatible!

Hi there!
I read about Core Duo that has the same socket as Pentium M, 479. Can I go for an upgrade from P-M 735 1,7 Ghz to Core 2 Duo? I heard that even if they have the same socket they're incompatible! Can anyone help me with this? Thanks

Unfortunately that's right - an upgrade is not possible.
