RAM for Amilo A1645

Postby hakanenlauri » Thu Nov 23, 2006 2:07 pm

Hi there!

I'm looking for a RAM upgrade for my Amilo 1645. I just went to a shop where they tested one Generic RAM unit (Buffalo, I think) and it didn't work. Does this mean that I can only uses F-S's own RAM units? Or should I try another generic brand? It's just that F-S's own type is about twice as expensive and going for a Gigabyte of RAM would cost me 230 euros (2x 115, cause I have to have to units of 512 MB).

Any advice?

Thanks in advance,
Lauri

*Bump*

Would this work? http://www.memoryx.net/fpcem100.html

I wouldn't want to spen 100 euros on something that doesn't work and something I'm not sure I can return.

Anyway, it would be half the price of the memory units I was being offered by the shop.

Thanks in advance for you advice,
Lauri

Compatible with Fujitsu AMILO A 1645, A 1645G

So I suppose yes. But it's always possible that there are problems...

Thanks for the reply.

The local shop that I referred to earlier e-mailed me today that they have a new brand of RAM units that they'd like to try on my notebook. So, I'll put memoryx on hold for a while. If this doesn't pan out, I'll be hauling RAM to Finland from the other side of the pond.

I found this page very helpful: http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/listparts.aspx?model=Amilo+A1645

Have bought there 1G for my v2010 and it works great.
