Well i was doing a fress install of xp when the blue screen os death poped up and the error is in the bios chip i need to reset it but i dont know were the cmos battery is and im scared that i would break someting , does anyone know were it is located or how i can reset it

Amilos are relatively easy to open, and battery should be easily detected. There's only one coin type battery in there. I don't know the v2000 model but it should not be too difficult. (HP laptops are horror). Be careful to note which screw goes where if you have to do loosen a lot of screws and parts.

There's usually some kind of part number, letters or words that help identify on the battery or on the motherboard.
