Hi!
First, thanks very much!

I try add the line with a cd live (with the new kernel), then, if I restart the computer, the added line is lost.
I don't dare to update the kernel manually. I wait that adept update the kernel.

Thanks again! ;)

I am writing again because i installed Ubuntu 7.04 on my amilo 1437g.
everything is fine also compiz and beryl. I have a cool desktop now :)
Unfortunately the volume wheel doesn't works that i don't understand yet.
Maybe an upgrade will fix it.

Bye,
Lajos

Have you installed Feisty on AMILO M1437G without problems?
The live CD worked also without problems?
I am asking because I read a lot of things about how nasty is to install Ubuntu on a AMILO M1437G machine, but all these problems where related with Dapper.
Tomorrow I will get my AMILO M1437G so should I not expect any problems with the installation? :) That would be great...

Is SP/DIF activated? Do you see the red light?

Which Distribution are you running?

Sorry for letting you wait so long, but I don't have Ubuntu installed.
Right now I'm writing from a Ubuntu Live-CD and just activated SP/DIF.

To do this open your volume control (double-click on the speaker symbol next to your clock).
Then go to the "Switches"-panel (might be the wrong translation, running a german system)
Check the checkbox that is called IEC958 (due to different hardware this might be called differently and there might be multiple checkboxes, just try them)

Now the you should see a red light in your audio-out plug. This is SP/DIF.
