Amilo l6825 funny symptoms and disassembly

Postby tiku » Mon Dec 04, 2006 3:53 pm

Hi all!

My amilo l6825 has the following symptoms, in startup it sometimes shows that windows system folder is missing or that ntfs is somehow damaged. However after unplugging the computer (without battery) it proceeds to load windows (xp) and everything goes well for a short while. Except that the keyboard is messed up, instead of letter b the computer mistakes b to be enter, etc...

After a while though, it automatically kills windows and reboots, only to repeat the sequence all over again.

So, there's no hd issues but what else could it be? I'm thinking about overheating issues and therefore I'm going to disassemble the whole thing.

Are there any instructions for full disassembly and/or how can I get the bottom cover to detach from the cd/dvd drive...?

Thanks in advance..
