What's about a new design (for both forums of course) and not this standard-stuff.

Suggestions? :-D
(It's a little bit complicated, because there are so many mods in this forum.)

I dont unterstand the need for two seperated forums. Why don't you just redirect both URLs (www.amilo-forum.de and www.amilo-forum.de) to the same forum which then would have an english and a german forum in one place ?
How it is now (www.amilo-forum.com -> seperated englisch forum and www.amilo-forum.de another seperated german forum) just makes it more confusing ! (bestes Wort was ich für unübersichtlich gefunden habe)

In my opinion that would be even more confusing. Now we just have a domain for German content and another for English. A split into German and English like on http://www.thegamebooks.com/index.php isn't as "perfect" - the forum index would be too long etc.
The "double content" problem would be there, too, because English users often can't understand German (and to a lesser extent Germans don't understand English/can't write it).

I personally don't see the need for seperate domains either, but I think it's great that the admin puts himself through all that trouble to reach international users.
Although it is not totally built "from scratch", it's gonna be quite a while before the two forums are equal in content (if they ever will be). I hope this new "section" grows fast and english-speaking users accept it!!

Good luck, bonne chance, in bocca al lupo, viel Glück!

best regards,
Flavio

Thanks, xray - for your sticky threads, too
Of course amilo-forum.de has much more content (content of 1.5 years...), now we have to get users for amilo-forum.com - then it'll get into Google and I'm hopeful that with time it'll be as good in ranking as amilo-forum.de, so that we'll get even more users and with them: knowledge :-)
