(Hope this is still interesting to you)
Hi, I was in a similar situation with my Amilo Pa1510 which came with 1GB and was on sale. I bought two sticks of 1GB to upgrade it to the maximum of 2GB (and with faster speed).
To my surprise I found only one slot. From the construction of the logic board, I inferred that the other RAM slot should be at the other side of the logic board... which would be exactly behind the keyboard.
I left the backside open (the K/B screw is longer and might fasten the keyboard) and clicked with a small screwdriver in the four "slits" on top of the keyboard. This made the keyboard loose and I could flip it over revealing a metal surface. You'll notice a metal lid with a screw: unscrew the screw and remove the lid: there is the second RAM module.
Replace.... reassemble... enjoy your 2GB
Greetings
