I think you only need acer_acpi to activate wireless: http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=224350

(Afaik the wireless drivers itself should work automatically...)

I wrote an auto installation script for ubuntu (32bit only) and uses acerhk instead of acer_acpi.

if you have an atheros ar5005g wireless card (and not broadcom) you can try and use it by running:

wget http://fscamiloa16xx.googlecode.com/files/fsca16xx.sh
chmod 755 fsca16xx.sh
sudo ./fsca16xx.sh
