Hi,

Before damaging something search on this site about guys having same problem. I only remember that there are no screws to do this but some plastic clips on each corner of keyboard. Check please before! on the site.

I've a Pi 1505 but this may be of help. It shows the location of the plastic pins holding down the keyboard on a 1505.

fitting keyboard to amilo A1630

Postby raywyse » Tue Apr 03, 2007 7:42 pm

New keyboard just arrived from Techno Mart at a cost of £110 Inc vat and post
Now the removal
Removed battery
Unclipped the entire top row keys esc to scroll
Now you can see the only retaining clips three off
Using a table knife put light pressure under shift key to lift the corner slightly
At the same time pressing top left clip in top corner will pop up now
I placed a lolly pop stick under keyboard top left and applied some pressure at the
Same time pushed in the last two clips the keyboard is now loose
All that is left is cable pull out gray clip at each side about 1/16 INS and remove cable
After cleaning fitted new keyboard testing then clipping in
There are 4 slots a the lower end of board one off goes through cable then bend cable back
To the same shape as original move board up down till lower end slots in then I used a
Cutting of hardboard to get even pressure over top of keyboard and it pops in that’s it
Ps it is not a hard job
