is it normal, that in amilo a1630 cpu fan is working all the time? if it is normal, than maybe there is a program that could switch it off from time to time like in other notebooks?

thanks for any help

What's your processor? As far as I know it is normal that the fan is working all the time (and I wouldn't recommend to disable the fan even if I knew how).

You can try to lower your cpu voltages and use PowerPlay of your graphics card.

I've got Athlon 64 3400+; I found yesterday program like SPEEDFAN, but it doesn't recognize my fans. It could turn off the fan if the temperature is below eg. 40degrees, and turn it on again if the temperature raises. I need pragram like it but working with my notebook :)
best regards and thanks for help

I don't think your cpu temperature stays under 40°C. What's your temperature with active fan and idle status?

according to speedfan, CPU temp just after turning on is about 36°C, than on idle it's about 28°C, HDD temp is about 50°C and warning temp written in bios is 75°C. That's all I know, unfortunatly there's no info in bios about these temperatures

with my Amilo A1630-AMD 3700. speedfan and other diagnostic programs always indicate that it is 75 degrees!
