graphics driver for L7310 and windows vista

Postby rich_bartlett » Wed Feb 14, 2007 4:46 am

Hi,

I've just upgraded my L7310 laptop to windows vista.
I've noticed that the driver for my graphics/video card now appears as the 'standard VGA adapter' rather than the VIA PN800 that is installed. I've tried to update the driver but the one available on the fujitsu-seimens website is not compatible with vista.

what can I do?

Does VIA itself provide Vista drivers, did you check that?

hi,

I tried downloading what i think was the right set of drivers from VIA but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. The drivers list still says that it is the standard VGA one, rather than the VIA one. I also notice that i can't open windows movie-maker as it says my video controller isn't Direct X9 compatible.

any help?

VIA says (Vista FAQ):
VIA certified Vista drivers for your integrated graphics controller (currently CN896, VN896, K8M890, P4M900 and K8N890 supported with Vista WDDM drivers)

So you'll have to wait until your "PN800" appears: http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?Pa ... CatID=2900
