audio stutter

Have Amilo L1300 - updated via Fijitsu-Siemens site and MS Update.

Audio stutters whether using inbuilt speakers, external speakers or earphones. Have checked sound control and all seems normal. Anyone come across this and resolved the problem??

Just a thought: is DMA mode active for hdd and dvd drive?
If not, that could be the problem.

Can you monitor the cpu load?

audio stutter

Hi Aaron

The DMA mode is active for both hdd and dvd drives now - with no change in audio stutter.

Monitor cpu load - via Windows Task Manager/Performance? If so, what should I be looking for?

Thanks
Mark

Yes, look whether the cpu is idle or under full load when sound is stuttering.
