Amilo Pa 1510 Bios password

Postby numbers » Sun Feb 25, 2007 2:33 pm

Hi,

I know Bios passwords is a touchy subject however i recently purchased a Amilo Pa 1510 laptop for my daughter for christmas and she has unfortunately
entered a password into the bios that she has forgot.

When i boot up the laptop it goes straight into asking for the password i cant get any further than that,i rang FS warranty and they told me i would need to send the laptop back and they would charge £100 is this correct?

Seems a little bit excessive...i have all reciepts etc from when i bought it,just think its a poor show from FS,if i have to pay the £100 i will but you can be sure i wont be buying another FS computer.

Anyone got any advice?

£100 is expensive (I think in Germany it's only 50 EUR).
You could ask a service partner of FSC, they should be able to to it, too.

Other manufacturers charge a lot, too...

Any ideas of a service partner in the UK?

Thanks in advance.

ServiceSource Europe seems to be an Authorized Service Partner of FSC.

There may be more, but I don't know.
