Is it possible to upgrade the Amilo M1437G to 2GB RAM?

Hi,

I know there was a recent post about how to upgrade the RAM on a AMILO M1437G, but the data sheet says:

Up to 1 GB with two DDR2 SO-DIMM 512MB modules
(400MHz)

Is this true? Has anyone succesfully upgraded his M1437G with 2GB ?
Please also mention the type of memory chips you used.

Thanks!

Just to let you guys know, I successfully upgraded the RAM to 2GB, using 2x1GB 1GB DDR2 PC2-4200 533MHz 200 pin SODIMM modules. Brand is called "Elpida" (it's not Corsair, but I got them at a really nice price).

If anyone needs more details, pm me.

Cheers

Hi again,

for all of those who would like to upgrade their RAM, you can go to www.youtube.com and search for "upgrade ram laptop" (you can try different keywords).

You will find many videos explaining how to install the RAM modules. It may not be a Fujitsu-Siemens laptop, but the process is pretty much the same.

Keep in mind that there are a lot of tutorial-videos on YouTube (or other video broadcast services) on many different topics.

Also. before you start, read the manual of your laptop (chapter "upgrading memory") to see which part of the laptop you need to unscrew. And watch for static electricity!

cheers,
