dvd codecs

Ive recently had to re-install a clean version of Windows XP and the drivers on my Amilo A7640 but now when I try to play a DVD on Windows Media Player it says that I do not have the required DVD codec to play it. Does anyone know what the problem is here and what I can do about it?

If you want to watch a DivX movie, you need the DivX Codec http://www.divx.com/ or any other codec that can also encode the given codec.
If you just want to watch a DVD movie, you probably need another program like PoverDVD or WinDVD.

You should have received either PowerDVD or WinDVD with your notebook (meaning you don't have to buy one of them).
