Is it possible installing 64bit Vista on Pa 1538?  Topic is solved

Postby drazenkrsmanovic » Sun Apr 08, 2007 7:16 pm

Greetings,

Pa 1538 comes with installed Vista Home Basic 32bit, but considering it has Turion64x2, is it possible to install 64bit version of the operating system?

Thank you,

of course, you can! what did you think? why the CPU called as Turion64(x2)? you can install Vista64bit on your 64bit system :)

In theory, of course ;-) But you need drivers for the other components, that's not always possible...

That's what i persumed and is the reason of asking this question. :-) I guess 32bit Vista is preinstalled from exactly the same reason (and probably financial one too).

So, if I get all the drivers from F-S's site I could run 64bit OS.

Thanx for your reply.
