Replace CPU on Amilo D 7820

Postby Alec » Fri Apr 28, 2006 7:58 pm

Hallo to all, I'm from Italy, one of my friend has got a 7820 with P4 2.53GHz, I would to know if I can replace it with a 2.8 or 3.06GHz P4 mobile edition with speedstep. And can you give a service manual that explains me how to replace the CPU? Thanks

Since no one has answered, I do.
I am not quite sure, but I think you cannot upgrade to a mobile-CPU. If you want to upgrade with a 3Ghz desktop-CPU it might be that your notebook gets too hot etc...

Sorry that I cannot say more.

I agree with Borkar - I tried to find something in the German forum, but unfortunately there isn't a definite answer either.

So far we had very few service manuals, but none for the D7820.
