Amilo M6450G RAM Upgrade + Advice

Postby netdynamix » Wed Apr 25, 2007 8:49 pm

Dear Forum,

I want to upgrade my Amilo M6450G notebook's memory as it only has 512MB at present (I assume 2x256mb)

I opened up the bottom of the book and found 1 memory module, but could not locate the other one in the bottom compartment. I take it that the second one if found under the keyboard...

Would anybody know how to remove the keyboard from the book safely? I dont want to break anything...

Secondly, I want to upgrade to 1024MB RAM... would it make a HUGE difference to run 2048MB instead?
I do graphic design on this notebook so more memory is always the best option for Photoshop especially, but would this notebook really benefit from 2GB RAM or would it just be overkill?

Thanks in advance,

Chris
