My machine has just come back from a warranty repair (to resolve a problem I had using an external monitor) only to break down as soon as I put it under any load. Basically whilst playing a game the system bluescreened and shut down. On reboot the display is heavily corrupted right from the initial Fujitsu Siemens BIOS splash screen. I can only get it to boot by going into safe mode or choosing VGA from the 'F8 menu' and even then its practically unusable (although I've managed to burn a DVD backup of personal data)
According to the paperwork for the recent repair it has had a new mobo, audio card, gfx card & external vga port. My theory is that it's either a faulty component (graphics card ?) or faulty fitting.
I've also come across the same problem here and here (The screen corruption in the photos in virtually identical to mine)
I'll be ringing the repair centre first thing on Monday but would appreciate any thoughts or ideas in the meantime !
Regards,
Bruce
