Laptop does not see the card reader. I'm assuming I need the correct drivers. Anyone know the correct make of the card reader so that I can download the right drivers.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the info on the card reader.

I installed vista just after it came out. The only two problems has been the wifi button not working and this card reader problem that i've just come across.

The laptop runs slowly to be fair, i've only got 512mb. I haven't upgraded the ram to 2Gb yet.

Fix for the wifi was at,10986,-Test-von-Vista-mit-Amilo-A-1650G-Launch-Manager-geht-nicht.html&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=3&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3D%2522wbutton.exe%2522%2B%2Bamilo%26hl%3Den%26rls%3DGGLJ,GGLJ:2006-11,GGLJ:en

When initial installing, make sure that the laptop is connected to the internet for device driver updates. The machine will work with the default drivers from microsoft, afterwich try the realtek (sound) and ATi (graphics) for more upto date ones.
