Radeon Xpress 1100 memory - Pa1510

Postby mottza » Thu May 10, 2007 1:14 pm

I have Windows Vista Premium on my Pa1510 and have installed the latest version of Catalyst from AMD\ATI.

However I cannot see a way where I can chenge the 128mb memory that the Radeon Xpress 1100 uses to 256Mb. I have tried looking in the BIOS and catalyst and windows display properties to no avail.

Any ideas on how to do this and what kind of performance increase I should get. I'm upgrading the memory from 1Gb to 1.5Gb tonight as Vista is a bit slow at times.

Thanks

It's possible that 256 MB will be used automatically after upgrading your memory. (Often it depends on the installed memory.)
But I doubt you will get a significant (3D) performance increase :?
