A 1630 hardware conflict

Postby paul1110 » Thu May 10, 2007 7:31 pm

hi there.

i have a serious problem with my A 1630.
lateley i have been getting BSODs (blue screens of death).
after a lot of investigation i found out, what caused the BSODs.
the motherboard ressources tries to access the i/o addresses that are reserved for the acpi embedded controler.

all my efforts to solve this problem have failed, so far.
i reinstalled windows several times now, which didn't solve the problem.
i have changed and switched the ram modules on the two different banks.
i have done a hardware reset. i even have tried to install windows xp
as a standart pc which endet in a black screen when the installation
was supposed to begin. a bios update did'nt solve the problem either.
the acpi embedded controler can't be deactivated and the i/o addresses
cannot be changed.

so, if anyone has an idea that might help me, let me know.

Paul

How did you find out?
However, if BIOS update and reinstalling Windows does not help, call FSC support since it is probably a hardware malfunction.

that's what the device manager tells me. FSC support seems to be my last option now, since i didn't come up with a soluiton. i'll better call them soon since my guarantee is about to expire in a couple of weeks.
