Hello all
I have had the W key come off my keyboard. FSC say this is physical damage not covered by my 3yr warranty, and I cannot buy a single W key.
So, it looks like I am going to have to put a new keyboard in.
FSC would love me to do a non-warranty repair. No chance.
I can buy a new keyboard, and from existing posts here it looks as if all should be straightforward (there is a screwhole on the underside of the chassis with 'kb' next to it).
My question is this: has anyone else done this for an xi1546 yet? The keyboard is embedded in a black plastic surround that covers the speakers and power/other buttons. Will I have to remove this black surround first?
Thanks in advance for any comments/suggestions
