You have to configure your wireless router with a network name (=ssid) and a password (wpa key). We can't tell you these obviously ;-)

You have got a router. Does it support wireless at all, are there antennas?

If it is a wireless router, then you have to open the webinterface (using a cable, of course). Often it is something like http://192.168.0.1/ , http://192.168.1.1/ or http://192.168.178.1/ - there you can configure your wireless lan (ssid, encryption and key).

When this is done, you scan for wireless lans with your notebook, you'll find at least one (yours, with your ssid), then you can connect and it will prompt for the key.
