M7405 Battery acting weird

Postby fadepk » Sun Jun 17, 2007 12:19 am

Hey im new here
just got an amilo m7405 from a friend

i set up the cpu to run at low voltages

but i face a problem with the Battery

it discharges very fast to 7% in 20 mins
then it takes another 30 mins to aobut 3%
then another 15 mins till shutdown

thats with 0.7v for 600 mhz
wifi off

and im most of the time at 600mhz only when i open applications it jumps to 1.2-1.7 and yet again im at 0.940v @ 1.7

i now also use the FAN button which sets the bus to 80mhz instead of 100 the cpu then at 480 mhz @ 0.7v

from what i have read
this laptop is capable of 2.5 hours with default volatges

is there some way of fixing the bat?
shorting some contacts or freezing it i donnou
i got some ion cells maybe they fit i donnou if they are good either
i cant afford a new one

thanks in advance

Try to discharge and charge the battery a few times, always in one go. Maybe it will improve.

(But it is normal that batteries lose their capacity with time.)

it didnt work
ive got another problem
my cpu temp is always at 11c
and the cpu get hotter than that...
also topic,852,-Display-wont-turn-off.html#2903

so i suspect it all has to do with the power managmnet controller
if someone knows how to identify it maybe its possible to replace it
im out of warranty

or it can be much simpler problem
btw
i just installed windows on it so its not OS related
