SLIC possibility

Hey everybody,

Know if Fujitsu Siemens plan on adding SLIC tables to the BIOS for the Pi 1505? It'd be nice if they released an OEM DVD so I could install Vista and have it activated instantly.

Isn't this the case already? I think I read that Windows does not have to be activated when the "Fujitsu-Siemens" BIOS string is found.

I've looked at the 1.13C BIOS on my Pi 1505 using Everest. It has the RSDT table, but Fujitsu haven't added a SLIC table. This means that if you want to use an OEM Fujitsu installation DVD (with the Fujitsu certificate), you can't activate (OEM keys are invalid for activation without the SLIC table). Out of interest, did anybody obtain a copy of Vista via the upgrade programme? Maybe Fujitsu are only issuing OEM SLP 2.0 activation keys with new systems? Compared to my HP system which supports activation, that has HP RSDT & SLIC tables.

I don't know if users with this express upgrade have to activate their Windows, but I think not: first I never read about it, second this laptop is sold with Vista - and there it is not required to activate Windows.

I presume you have the latest BIOS version.
