How to have the fan button permenently on

Postby djingo » Sun Aug 05, 2007 7:12 pm

My Amilo 1818 has a "fan button" that slows down the computer so the fan runs less often.

Everytime I return from hibernation it is set to off. Isent there a way to keep it on all the time?

well i have a workarround for you:

you can use the software "RM clock" to throttle the CPU by your desires. You can make profiles and set the software to load this profiles in certain system states (e.g. startup).
you could make a profile that clocks the CPU all the time to the slower speed of your CPU. Then you don't need this fan button anymore.

i am not sure if it works after coming back from hibernation, since i haven't tried it out. but check it and i think chances are good, that this solution works out!
