Li 1718 WLAN  Topic is solved

Postby bump » Thu Aug 16, 2007 1:05 pm

Morning all,

I have recently purchased an Li 1718 and have removed Vista in favour of XP Pro (Vista incomparability issues forced it).

I have all the drivers with the exception of the WLAN which I believe to be an Atheros AR5007 series device, can anyone confirm a model of this that is fitted?

I have been unable to find any XP drivers for this chipset, and those that I have have tried to install an AR5007EG unsuccessfully (from the AR2425 chipset drivers). I believe that it uses the AR2417 chipset. Again, can anyone confirm?

WLAN is not essential for what I do, it's just handy to have. Are there any other workarounds such as swapping the card out for another model? If so is there a list of suitable substitutes?

Thanks

This one should work:

And you need the "Launch manager" for XP:
