RAM upgrade for XI1546 ??

Postby murnie » Fri Aug 17, 2007 1:21 pm

Hi,

I have an amilo xi1546 T2400 centrino duo.

I'm looking to upgrade to 2 gigs of RAM (2 * 1gig) but am not sure about the different timings available on the market. I want some performance RAM so am looking for suggestions on suitable units to buy.

Also, while im here is it possible to upgrade the processor on this laptop?

Thanks
murnie

Well thanks everyone for viewing but not replying!!

I ended up getting a 2 gigs of 667 ddr2 from Crucial so hope its what i wanted!! BF2142 should play better now in addition to changing the game to run in the native screen resolution of 1440 * 900 which really helped.

Cheers guys n gals.

Your laptop is often sold with the T7200.

That's the problem - it depends on your software. I think it's only worth the money if you have really cpu consuming programs. You could monitor your cpu load.
