Amilo Pi3560 fan problem

Postby GodForbid » Tue Dec 29, 2009 9:33 pm

Every time the fan stops at a certain position, it stops turning and gets stuck. To fix I have to open the case and give the fan a little spin. Is it some kind of software problem or should I get a new fan? The laptop is brand new Amilo Pi3560 and there isn't any dust.

I don't think this can be a software problem - but you can try the hardware reset described in the FAQ, just in case the BIOS does some strange fan control.
I'd recommend to return the laptop (or replace it with a working one), if possible - because that's probably the fastest solution. Of course you can also use the warranty.
