While my Amilo M3438G was suspended, I replaced the aging 80GB hdd with a shiny new 500GB.
My plan was then to reboot the machine with a CD to install an OS on the new drive.
However, no matter how long I press the power button, it won't power off. :shock:
All it does is blink with two of the blue lights in the display (one with an "A" in a box, and one with an arrow pointing downwards in a box).

How can I reboot the machine?

I let it die from drained battery (which lasted a disappointingly short time). After that I could boot from the CD.

(and, yes, the 500Gb WD Scorpio black worked fine in the Amilo using BIOS 1.10c)
