Maximum hard drive size upgrade? Amilo L1300

Postby Colin_NI » Thu Feb 17, 2011 2:54 am

Again following my post in the ram section, this is related to the hard drive. I just want something larger than the 80gb currently on the system for storage of my photos and some mp3's.

An external unit is unsuitable for myself. Whats the maximum I can install into the unit?

Im running XP Service pack 3.

This post is getting a bit old but; It looks like my L1310G can take any size hard drive. I have a 500 GB hard drive in mine, and I know 1TB also works fine, but I haven't yet managed to find a IDE/SATA converter that will fit in my Amilo as a permanent solution. The largest hard drives usually have only SATA "plugs". It might have to do with the operating system though, I know puppy linux doesn't always handle 1TB hard drive.
