Amilo m7440g Hd and WIFI problem?

Postby dinsl » Sat Aug 18, 2007 1:44 am

HI to everybody

i have a problem with the XP install. My laptop amilo m7440g has a Sata Hd ,but i cant install xp home or Professional.

I have read yet topic,26,-Installation-of-Windows-XP-Home-Pro-PE-FAQs.html

1.The recovery Cd doesnt work.Fujitsu Siemens Spain support said that was a wrong version and the sata driver are not included on my cd.

2. I have tried to use Nlite for integrating the drivers and make a personalized cd,but still have the same problem

3 i have tried to disable AhCI in Bios but i cant install either

4 I havent found in list on point 2.4 S-ATA/RAID driver list for Amilo notebooks my laptop (m7440g) .I have bought a Floppy USB,to try to install with f6 at the beginning of Xp installation, but maybe im installing a wrong driver

the Hd works fine with Vista, and Linux live CD,so i dont think its a hardware problem, but with Vista i cant activate WIfi and sound card doesnt work.

i think amilo m7440g mainboards is intel 915 .

I found a utility to create a floppydisk automatically, but i cant install it in my USB floppy,i dont know why.
So im crazy with this, and Fujitsu Siemens Spain support said that they would send me another Recovery Cd but 15 days later the cd is not coming

Any idea??Thanks in advance

You need intel matrix storage manager drivers. See here
